Canon Pixma TS6120 Drivers Download– The Canon PIXMA TS6120 replaces the PIXMA TS6020 as a low volume photo-centric all-in-one (AIO) printer for family and Home Office use. Aside from the addition of Bluetooth and some other small tweaks, TS6120 is not very different from its predecessor. It looks and prints the same, and at the same speeds, for the same List price, which is about $50 less than the editors ‘ Choice Canon PIXMA TS9120. Like most consumer-grade photo printers in this price range, TS6120 is slow, and it has no automatic document feeder (ADF). It writes pretty good, though-especially images, making it a sensible lower-cost alternative to more expensive and more expensive to use the Canon TS9120.

Canon Pixma TS6120 is Small and lightweight features
One of the main differences between TS6120 and its higher Canon TS9120 siblings is that it uses only five inks, compared to the higher end AIO’s six inks. In addition to the four standard-based colors cyan, magenta, yellow, and Black (CMYK), TS6120 also uses a pigment-black ink to produce deeper blacks in text and graphics; In addition to pigment-black ink, the Canon TS9120 has a photo-blue ink to increase detail and widen the color gamut, according to Canon.

One reason they’re all so small – at least in height – is that none of them, including the Epson XP-640, come with ADFs. Traditionally, to get an ADF from a so-called “Photo ” Printer like this, you would have to step up to one of Epson’s six-Ink models, such as the expression Photo XP-960 small-in-one. Just recently, however, Canon released the PIXMA TR8520 Wireless Home Office All-in-one, which, like TS6120, is a five-Ink AIO, but it comes with a 20-page ADF. The Canon TR8520 is a bit larger and a bit more expensive, but it uses pretty much the same print engine as the TS6120, which means that it performs roughly the same in terms of print speed and print quality.

Like the higher end Canon TS9120, the TS6120 comes with two paper trays, a 100-sheet cassette front and a 100-Sheet magazine that extends up and out of the back.

You can configure TS6120 and set up Walkup tasks, like printing from the cloud and making copies, from its 3-inch touchscreen LCD and a handful of surrounding buttons, consisting of Power, Home, back, start (black copies), start (color copies) and stop ((cancel). The size of the touchscreen is another way in which the TS6120 differs from its higher sibling; TS9120, for example, has a 5-inch touchscreen. Of the four TS-series models, the TS6120 is the only one that does not support SD memory cards. In addition, Canon no longer publishes either the maximum monthly duty cycle and recommended monthly print volume ratings for any of its consumer-grade printers.

TS6120 Making connections and software
While the TS6120 doesn’t support SD memory cards, it does support several other standard and mobile Connectivity options, starting with Wi-Fi and connecting to a single PC via USB, which is a typical configuration for a consumer-grade AIO in this price range.

Other types of mobile device connections for TS6120 include: Google Cloud Print, Mopria and AirPrint, and Canon’s own wireless PictBridge for printing from multiple Canon digital cameras, Canon Print and PIXMA Cloud Link. This time, Canon has also included Bluetooth 4.0, which is something unusual for desktop printers with Wi-Fi. Most printer manufacturers include Wi-Fi Direct or NFC (Near-Field Communication) or both. While Bluetooth allows most compatible smartphones and tablets to connect to the printer, Wi-Fi Direct has a much wider range and higher through power

Considering that it is a consumer-grade photo printer, TS6120 ‘s software bundle is geared towards scanning and printing photos and graphics. Apart from the drivers, CD: Scan Utility includes my printer, Network Tool, my image Garden, and context menu. My printer is a diagnostic, maintenance and Repair tool, and Network Tool allows you to view and change the AIO’s network settings. My image Garden is a collection of tools, such as special effects, correction and enhancement filters; With full HD Filmutskrifter, you can isolate and print frames from video images with specific Canon digital cameras. And the Creative Park Premium is an online collection of document templates (for creating calendars, greeting cards and so on). Context menu, a collection of always visible icons, provides quick access to My image Garden and the other features listed here.

These small consumer-grade photo printers just don’t print as quickly as their business-oriented counterparts. (Canon’s own similarly priced Maxify MB2120 Wireless Home Office inkjet printer, for example, is rated at 9 pages per minute, or PPM, faster than TS6120 ‘s 15ppm.) That said, when you print our simply formatted 12-page Microsoft Word document, I clocked TS6120 at 12.9 ppm, which is very similar to all the other Pixmas mentioned above; Even Canon TR8520 made 12.8 ppm on this part of our tests. The Epson XP-640, which is nominal on 13ppm, managed only 9.5 ppm, and HP’s envy photo 7855 All-in-one, a newly released four-ink photo AIO, churned at 12.7 ppm. (I tested via USB from our standard Intel Core i5-equipped test bed PC running Windows 10 Professional.)

When I combined the results from the above 12-page Word text document with them from printing our colorful PDF, Excel and PowerPoint documents containing graphics and photos, TS6120 ‘s print speed came in at 4.7 ppm. Here, again, these results either bound other Pixmas we’ve talked about, or landed on one side or the other with a tenth of a ppm or so.

The TS6120 churned out our two colorful and detailed 4-by-6-inch snapshots averaging 20 seconds, or about 15 seconds faster than the Canon TR8520 and 12 seconds faster than the Canon TS9120. It also hit HP’s Envy Photo 7855 by 20 seconds.Just like their siblings, TS6120 ‘s output is excellent, especially photographs. Text is dark, well formed, and clearly delineated down to what I could see without magnification, making it more than appropriate for most family and home business documents. Even some of the less common decorative fonts we tested looked better than what we’ve seen from competing models.

The graphics were also, for the most part, better than average, with solid fills and backgrounds and soft flowing gradients. Even hair lines (1 point and below) looked good. I did, however, see the same stripes in the solid black background in an Excel D line charts that I saw with Canon TR8520 and TS9120. It wasn’t terribly look, but it was definitely noticeable to the point that I would shy away from using big, solid black fills in my handouts; But then again, this AIO is not really sturdy enough for this type of document. Otherwise, the TS6120 ‘s production keeps up the PIXMA photo printer heritage.

The bottom line of entry level and midrange consumer-grade photo printer market is that you have a lot of choices. If top-notch print quality, especially images, is your main concern, selecting any of the Canon TS series Pixmas should serve your needs. Yes, because of its photo-blue ink, the Editors ‘ Choice Canon PIXMA TS9120 allows better quality of certain types of images; If the best possible image quality is what you
